Project enhancing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the personnel employed at the Royal Prosthetic Legs Workshop through a total of five courses. | 1.5 Upper Limb Orthosis Course

          This course was held between the 7th and 11th August 2023, with 15 participants from 14 hospitals affiliated with Legs Workshops. The theoretical training encompassed the anatomy and functionality of the arm, frequently used arm orthotics, and the advantages of arm accessories, with a duration of 3 hours. A 4-hour demonstration on crafting hand splints using casts was also provided, followed by 28 hours of practical training for the trainees. In fiscal year 2023, the Prostheses Foundation secured budgetary support from the Government Lottery Office. This funding was allocated to train mechanics aiding disabled individuals and prosthetic technicians, with the aim of enhancing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the workforce at the Royal Prosthetics Legs Workshops. These efforts were geared towards maintaining the delivery of high-quality services to individuals with 
disabilities.
