for walking with a prosthesis

1. Balance exercise should begin as soon as you can sit up by balancing in a sitting position on the bed and by standing straight while gripping a chair as support. |

2. As soon as you can balance well while standing, practice hopping.You should be able to go short distances this way without crutches or a wheel chair in order to increase stability and reduce fear of falling. |

3. Crutch walking should begin as soon as possible to avoid too much wheel chair use which could cause contracture. First strengthen the muscles used to walk with axillary crutches. |

|
| 4. Stump exercise. |
|
5. Walking training with aids forearm crutch or walker. |
