 What special measures must a diabetic patient take?

A :

It should have the following qualities.
   - Diabetes should be controlled well. See a doctor regularly.
   - Inspect the stump daily. If an ulcer develops, stop using  
         the prosthesis until the ulcer is healed.
   - Keep the stump clean, washing and drying it thoroughly.
   - When there is an ulcer, apply antiseptics. If an infection 
         develops, see a doctor quickly.
   - Keep the stump wrapped even when you are not wearing
         the prosthesis.
